BIG Church - Community Impact

God's plan for the "church" is to have a BIG impact in our community.  Greenbrier Church desires to empower you and provide ways for you to step out and serve, to be the picture of Christ right here at home.  

That is why we are so excited about Sunday, September 5th.  We aren't having church, but we are BEING the church!!  We will meet that morning at 9:20AM in the parking lot of Evans 14 Theatre, have a little worship, then get in our vehicles and go serve in the community until about 1:00PM.

We have lined up a few service/ministry opportunities, shown below, that you can sign up for with your entire family.  On September 5th each service team will get together and head out to your project, all because we want be Jesus to our community.

Choose from these service/ministry opportunities and register below:

1. LOVING ON A FAMILY (Augusta)

*Do basic house maintenance, yard cleaning, etc... for a family in need.

Point Person: Brian Byler
Ages: Adults through children (M.S. & under must be accompanied by an adult)
Attire: Work clothes
Location: Near Augusta Exchange Shopping Center
Time: 10AM-1PM

2. MASTERS TABLE FULL - PRAISE GOD!!

*Serving food & loving on those less fortunate in our community (Limit 20 volunteers)

Point Person: Eddie Writer
Ages: Adult – 8 years old (17 & under must be supervised and a parental approval signed; (M.S. & under must be accompanied by an adult)
Attire: Casual, jeans and tennis shoes are best. Everyone is required to wear closed toed shoes (no sandals or flip flops and laces must be tied) and shirts with at least short sleeves (no tank tops or spaghetti straps)
Location: 702 Fenwick Street, Augusta, GA 30901 – Downtown
Time: 10AM-1PM

3. RIVERWOOD CARWASH

*connecting with the Riverwood Community by serving Jesus style
Point Person: Todd Hampson
Ages: Adult – pre-school (M.S. & under must be accompanied by an adult)
Attire: casual/modest car wash
Location: Amberly Subdivision – Riverwood Plantation
Time: 10AM-1PM
4. LOVING ON A FAMILY (Knob Hill)

*Do basic house maintenance, yard cleaning, etc... for a family in need.
Point Person: Justin Gray
Ages: Adults through children (M.S. & under must be accompanied by an adult)
Attire: Work clothes
Location: Knob Hill (William Few Parkway)
Time: 10AM-1PM

5. MORNINGSIDE Assisted Living Community (706) 228-4709

*Loving on residents and participating in a worship service inside Morningside
Point Person: Kelley Lawrence
Ages: Adults through children (M.S. & under must be accompanied by an adult)
Attire: Casual clothes

Time: 10AM-1PM

6. NHC North Augusta Nursing Home

*Assisting patients from chapel, loving the elderly, and being Jesus by taking care of residents
Point Person: Shane Padgett
Ages: Adults through children (M.S. & under must be accompanied by an adult)
Attire: Casual clothes
Location: 350 Austin Graybill Road, North Augusta, SC

Masters Table
*Serving food & loving on those less fortunate in our community
Point Person: Juanita Deloach 
Ages: Adult – 8 years old (17 & under must be supervised and a parental approval signed; M.S. & under must be accompanied by an adult)
Attire: see Masters Table “dress code”
Location: 702 Fenwick Street, Augusta, GA 30901 – Downtown
Time: 10AM-1PM
Info: Volunteers assist with serving 300 + guests a noon meal. This is accomplished by volunteers assisting with preparing food, serving food, greeting guests and special assignments like playing music or offering a blessing for the meal. *Would love to have a Keyboard or Guitar player.
